Anybody looking to travel should have some sort of roadside assistance.

Hot Rod

At one time - AAA used to be about the only option for a driver. But these days, everybody seems to be getting involved in roadside assistance plans: insurance companies, carmakers, oil companies, credit-card issuers, even cell-phone service providers.

Here is what I get when i type "roadside assistance" into google:

1. AAA  2. Better World Club 3. The Auto Club 4. National Auto Club

5. Progressive 6. Camping World 7. DPS (Texas) 8. Sam's Club

9. Cross-Country Auto 10. Driver's Shield Auto Club

To learn more about getting help along the road - Consumer Reports is a great resource that will explain everything involved in the different plans and levels of coverage.
